Canto Ondo
Concerts
Canto Ondo is a Portuguese musical project that came about in 2011, in the early hours on an Alentejo terrace, with just a female voice accompanied by a guitar. Today, the voice of the singer and actress Tânia Cardoso and the songs of the guitar player and composer Rodrigo Crespo are joined by Baltazar Molina on percussion and Raquel Merelho on cello. Canto Ondo can be the earth, roots and memories, but it can also be the song of poets who inspire them, from Al-Andaluz to Lusophony. Singing that seeks to symbolise Portugal allied to Mediterranean sounds, in a dialogue between music and poetry (and why not storytelling?) which create intimate performances, shared with the listener.

Rodrigo Crespo | Acoustic guitar and composition
