Once again, the Money Museum associates himself with the Open House Lisbon, an international event that includes more than 35 cities around the world, offering a varied program for all ages.
During the weekend of September 25 and 26, various activities will showcase the heritage of the old Church of São Julião, the Interpretation Center of the D. Dinis Wall and the Money Museum.

Rehabilitation of the old Saint Julian church

Do you know the story of the former church that moved across the road and became a bank vault?
In the setting of S. Julião, we discuss the restoration of the built area, along with how the contemporary city combines with the Pombaline architecture.
What were the fundamental principles of the restoration programme? What secrets and surprises were yielded up? How does the Pombaline earthquake resistance system fit into the eurocodes? Architecture, archaeology, restoration, heritage, art and history are topics debated in this tour of the building.
