Clone of Do you know the money in your pocket? Workshop on the euro’s heritage
Workshops

In this workshop, we propose that you learn more about money as a “place of memory”.
At a time when traveling seems like a mirage, you can travel around the Euro zone and discover the cultural heritage that these banknotes and coins represent.
We obviously think of money as a means of payment, a unit of account and a store of value. However, money also has many other meanings, as with the Euro which, as a single currency, is one of the most concrete proofs of European integration. It also has its own history in terms of its design and conception. Did you know, for example, that the graphic symbol for the euro was inspired by the Greek letter epsilon and evokes the first letter of the word “Europe”? And what eras and artistic styles are represented in the banknotes?
